The Buckminster Gliding Club Hangar Dance is on again this year. Saturday the 24th of August with the Leicester Big Band. Get dressed up in period gear and bring your 1940s jalopy if you have one. What about your Spitfire? You can fly in.

Welcome the return of the popular 1940’s Hangar Dance to this atmospheric and historic and still active WWll airfield.
The popular Leicester Big Band sound will get your feet tapping and evoke the music of the era like no other. So, come prepared.
Licenced bar plus hot food & snacks available in our revamped clubhouse.
Why not turn up styled and coiffured in an appropriate fashion and driving a period vehicle?
You can even fly in. Bring your Spitfire if you like! We really won’t mind.
Overnight camping or caravanning available at a small cost. Enjoy the super new loos and showers.
Early booking is advisable as we are limited to just 300 tickets and already the demand is growing.
